Our Story

Welcome!  I'm so grateful that you're here viewing my shop and are interested in our story. I'm Ayannah, the hands & heart behind every handmade and loved piece! We're located in the beautiful state of Texas!

The idea to start Crushed Glitter came to me about shortly after giving birth to my daughter. I was a teacher on maternity leave and head over heels with all of the new Mama feelings. So many things were changing and uncertain in our world. I knew I wasn't ready to part from my baby girl and return to work just yet. 

I dusted off my sewing machine, and got the gears going! Both in my brain & on my machines! I spent most of my days dressing my daughter up in bows and changing her outfits every hour like she was a baby doll. I enjoyed every minute of it. Eventually, I became fascinated with the idea of designing her clothes on my own. Bringing some visions I had to life. I brought the idea to my husband who poured into me with support and encouragement as he always does. BOOM! Along came Crushed Glitter. I chose the name Crushed Glitter as I've always been fascinated with glitter. If you've ever experimented with Glitter you know how amazingly resilient it is haha! It's gonna sparkle and shine NO. MATTER. WHAT! That really resonates with me! 

Know that every piece I make is laden in love, covered in positivity, drenched with hope, encouragement, and light for you and your sweet child. Know that when you place an order with us, my heart smiles and swells with eternal gratefulness, and it's true. Small shop owners literally do a happy dance. Every single time! My husband, daughter, and I are abundantly blessed and forever amazed by the support and trust that is put into our shop.
